Ready for the freshest eggs? All of our home delivery orders will receive eggs no older than 10 days of being laid! I most cases they will be less than 5 days old. However, that's not all! The Bloom is left intact.
We leave what's called the BLOOM on the eggs. Most eggs are washed before they arrive at the grocery store, but this removes the natural protective bloom layer and lowers the shelf life and forces eggs to be refrigerated, thus losing it's freshness faster. With the bloom on your eggs, they will stay fresh for up to 8 week in the refrigerator, or 2 weeks left at room temperature. That's right 8 weeks! Now you may be wondering, does that mean I need to wash the eggs? Nope, we have a special way to keep the eggs clean, I explain in the video below. This is a common practice in Europe.
All the eggs are safely packaged in our egg bundle kit. It has protective foam inserts inside the cartons and special protective air spaces inside the box. This allows the box to get tossed around at the shipping hub, but keeps your eggs safe. However, in case a few of you eggs break, we send you 6 dozen, but you only pay for 5.5 dozen.
Due to the eggs having their own box and shipping cost associated with delivering this box of fresh eggs, this item is available as it's own separate order from the meats.
